Important questions to ask prior to booking your newborn sessions

If you’re thinking of scheduling newborn photos there are some helpful questions to ask your potential photographer prior to your session. This will help you feel like you have found the perfect match & also be more prepared for what to expect when you are ready to get those sweet baby pictures done!

✨Do you pose infants?

There’s lots of variety out there when it comes to newborn photography styles and everyone has their own preferences.  It’s helpful to know what type of style your photographer embraces so you know what to expect (and make sure to ask about how they ensure the safety of baby during your session)

✨Where do you do your sessions?

If you’re looking for a studio session versus an at-home session, it’s helpful to know what options your photographer offers and the difference between having sessions in studio vs at-home.

✨How would you handle a fussy baby?

Newborns can be unpredictable and sometimes sessions require some pivoting.  It’s helpful to know how your photographer might handle this so you feel confident going into your session. 

✨Do they offer products?

There are so many things happening when transitioning to life with a baby.  Printing your images or creating albums is likely the last thing on your to do list but high on your want list.  If your photographer offers products, it’s an easy and effortless way to check something off your list by having them create and order everything for you.
